Background

Alex Useche is a Venezuelan-American composer based in Southern California whose music draws from dark ambient, post-rock, and South American folk traditions. Blending electronic textures, acoustic instruments, and orchestral elements, his compositions explore soundscapes that balance emotional depth with tension and intensity. His musical voice is shaped by his Venezuelan heritage and influenced by composers such as Bobby Krlic, Gustavo Santaolalla, and Atticus Ross.

Alex holds a Master of Arts in Music Technology from Southern Utah University and is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Film Scoring at Berklee Online. His work brings together influences from alternative, classical, and traditional South American music, reflecting an interest in exploring the relationship between musical storytelling, texture, and emotion.
